Default Big City Thunder baffles?

I just purchased a set of big city thunder QQ baffles for my road king. The manufactures directions are relatively simple except they don't say which way to install the baffle. Mine are cone shaped on one end. I was just wondering if I should install the baffle with the cone facing forward or aft? Any help would be apriciated!

Usually the side with the bolt hole goes towards the rear......are you wrapping the center?

That's kinda what I figured. I didn't plan on wrapping the center. Are you talking about the center of the pipes?

Install them with the cones facing inward.

Inward? Really? Hmmmm...I installed these 2+ years ago and installed the cone facing out. Can't remember if I had a good reason for it. I know QQ's are the same thing as the regular BCT's with cones on the end so maybe I saw how BCT's should be installed and did it that way? Take a look at how regular BCT's should be installed. If that doesn't help call BCT. I bet I had a good reason for doing it like I did and I did cone away from engine. Gee, I hope I didn't do it wrong...

Are they good baffles? I am debating between them and the rinehart high flow baffles....looking for more sound out of the rineys.

I believe it depends on the type you are installing. At there site they do talk about installing some at the head pipe (in that case the cone would go towards the rear) if you have gutted out the large pipe. A friend put some on a set of V&H sideshots with cones inward. Maybe that was wrong? Got me wondering now. BCT ---> http://www.bigcitythunder.com/qq-thu...r-baffles.html

Mine are installed at exit of head pipe. The cone actually sticks out of the head pipe just a bit.

I love'em. They have got to be louder then the others you reference. On a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being straight pipes. BCT's are pretty much 10 and QQ's are like a 9 but are deeper. There is really no quieting at all but it supplies back pressure so you don't loose power like you would with straight pipes and it avoids the popping decel as well.
