Default Just Installed TL7 LED (pics)

Just got my TL 7. Installed it few minutes. Fits my smoked lens theme perfect.
Does stick out some, but trim ring fixes that. Now have to wait till night time to adjust.
Anyone know aiming procedure for LED's?

I used the regular method: A.)Sitting on the bike upright, measure the height from ground to center of the headlight. B.) Mark spot on solid wall 2" below the measured height and draw a horizontal line across. C.) Measure a distance with headlight 17' away from the wall. D.) Adjust the beam so the hot spot is dead center and the horizontal light line is equal to the marked line. I believe the H-D manual uses same method but uses high beam from distance of 25'.

Ugh! With the days getting shorter and the nights getting longer, I think its time to give in and order this mod. I like that style trim ring you got, think it will look good on a SG too?

After doing a rough aim in the garage, I would suggest heading out to a deserted flat road one night and tweaking the aim too. These LEDs are very directional and a small change in aim can make a pretty dramatic difference in how things are illuminated in front of you.

Deserted Flat Road in NYC. Now that's funny!
All joking aside, I know what you mean. Just have to find that road.

Just before installing mine, I put my bike on my lift and turned the lights on the wall, marked the wall with a "+" mark with tape for all three lights (covering up 2 at a time). Passing lamps were aimed weird to me (manual has a recommendation for them).
Then I installed the three TLP7's and the head lamp was very close, turned in the headlight just a little. My trims, like yours, have no slots for the adjustments, so I left them off until I was pleased with my adjustments after a couple of test rides.
Adjusting the passing lamps are a hassel; I got lucky and held a "twist" on the housings as I tapped each with a small rubber mallet on the front. Much better!
Hey, I strongly recommend doing the passing lamp/high beam mod to have the full three high beam glare for daytime visibility as well as better light at night when you want it. The low beam of the P7 headlamp does tend to wash out during the daytime, not so bad on high beam though...
Oh, and be ready for more bugs!

Might have to wait for Santa to bring the passing lamps, but they are on the list.

All right!
You got the best looking trim to go with those lights IMHO.
Ride safe!
