I bought my first HD last year. A new 11 FXDWG, sedona orange. I took it on a 1400 mile, 3 day trip a couple weeks ago. It was a bit tiresome by the end. I'm trying to decide whether to trade it in for a 13' ultra classic limited or wait 4 more years till it's paid off and just buy a UC then. My wife and 8 yo son want me to trade, but I'm just afraid I'm gonna regret getting rid of my first HD.
I love my WG and most of my riding is within 100 mile radius, but it would be nice to have something that has some storage and is more comfortable for passenger. Especially when riding from WV to GA and back.
any opinions/suggestions?
I went from an 11 wide glide, sedona orange, to the 12 street glide. Totaly different animal. Dont regret getting the street glide, just sometimes wish i had both. My dyna was like an bicycle compaired to the street glide. I was able to throw that thing around. Oh and just being able to push it backwards if needed was a piece of cake, the SG well lets just say 150 lbs added feels like 500 lbs.
If you have a loan out on the dyna why not trade it in now. Why have a loan for the next 8-10 yrs. I told my wife this will be the last one i get,
The main reason I'm thinking ultra instead of SG is for the backrest/tourpack. I know I could buy the tourpack for the SG. I'm gonna go next weekend and take a ride on both to see which is more comfortable. It'll be either the ultra or the SG. The WG is nice for 1 up cruising around town, but you guys are right....When the wife rides, I want her to be happy!
