Dunlop D402 vs. Pirelli night dragons??

be cautious PRE09 AND POST 09 ARE 2 DIFFERENT CATEGORIES. all DUNLOP are not created equal,402 last tire on earth that i would use e3 very good tire,408 good, american elite almost the same as 408 but less$,then all the rest,avon and perelli have reputation for traction but at the cost of longevity,metz compare to e3,michilen I'm not up on those I'm sure theres 2 models one for pre09 and one for newer.

go with the dunlop elite 3s. i traded my 07 in on my 2010 and i had almost 20k miles on them with lots of life left.

Have 3k miles on a NightDragon on the rear of my SG. Smooth ride, good handling. Had 8/32 tread new and now have 5/32 after 3k so 7-8k sounds about right. The section width is wider than any other tire of the same size that I have run.

Dunlops, no problem
Only the Dunlops seem to have the narrow white stripe, the hell with blackwalls on my Ultra. I get 15,000 on my Dunlop 402's. Just learn to use your brakes properly, and don't jackrabbit start all the time, use your throttle judiciously, and you will get the mileage from your tires. The 402's wear well, handle well in the rain, do good at high speed, (up to 120mph) and corner just fine. My Ultra spends a lot of time in the Colorado Rocky Mountains so cornering is a real factor for me, I just have no complaints in regards to the Dunlops.
