they will perform like race tires but they may have a little less life than a harder tire, I had a ninja with pirellies, they gripped awesome but I stored the bike outside in the winter and the cold cracked the sidewalls i guess because they are softer rubber.

I've heard that the Night Dragon's are good handling tires and many people seem to like them.
But I keep waiting to hear from someone whose actually worn out a set on a Sporty and can give a decent mileage life comparison between them and the other popular tires, or even compared to the stock Dunflops.
Avon Venom's handle great, but I get half the mileage from them vs what I get from the Metz 880's or Dunlop E3's.

That leaves me believing that they're in the Avon Venom class then, which gave me ~8000 miles on the rear.

NO THANKS, I'll stick with the Metz 880's and Dunlop E3's that consistently give me between 13,000-15,000 miles on the rear.

At 5,000 mile per tire, I'd be changing the rear tire 3 times a year.

I'm on my second set. I was able to squeeze out 6k on the first set. I love them. Excellent handling and grip.

For reference, how many miles did you get from the stock tires, and what were the stock tires, Dunlop 401's?

Yes Charley, i ran a Avon Venom X and the ride was very similar, managed to get 6000 out of the venom but it was at the cord.
