Thumbs up First Bagger

About to jump in in a big way...well for me anyway. I'm looking a two bikes and need some seasoned advice that might tip the scale. I'am a complete HD novice and experienced input/opinions are appreciated.

Bike 1. 2003 anniversary addition Ultra 30k service just complete stage one kit, pipes, new tires, full communication pkg ,cruise control,stereo/cd/cb/intercom. Bike is beautiful zero defects
Bike 2. 2005 Ultra 15K mile, stage one kit, pipes, lots of chrome. Again zero defects.

so I'm on the fence here, i had read the there might be some advantage to the 02-03 models but I also read that the early 05's had a oil consumption issue. I know it ultimately comes down to personal preference but maybe one has the clear edge over the other. so what do you say? Is there a clear winner here?

do not give any extra value to the 2003 "anniversary" bike- H-D extended the model year to 15 months to dump 420,000 "anniversary year" bikes on the market

that's all I know...I would suggest going newer if you can the advancements over the years are much worth it.

better EFI system in 2007

new frame in 2009

103" in 2012

I stayed on my '95 until 2010 when I bought my 09. I didn't think the early twin cams were any advantage over the '95.

This is just me - but sight unseen, I'd go newer bike / lower miles.

New to the Bagger side but always prefer a bike with less miles. Never worry about anniversary or special addition stuff. That is just my opinion.
