Had my first one replaced last weekend after about 3000 miles. Dealer said they had seen one before. They took one look at it and said they would replace it under warranty.
The tires can not take all the weight from these extra heavy motor homes. Just kidding. My nephew's Fat Boy has the same problem. Looking into different manufactures.
What are the date codes on these tires everyone is having problems with....maybe were dealing with old shelf life tires? Start documenting the date from now on.
Wow those are some serious cracks. Scary!! I keep reading about these cracks and check mine before each ride. These are the first pics I've seen of them, much worse then I thought. I will be keeping an eye on mine very closely. Thanks for pics.

That's probably the best suggestion.
Might be just a bad batch(s) from the manufacturer as well (since some of the cracks are in tires with 2012 date codes).
I've been watching threads like this since I'm planning on replacing my tires sometime in Sep/Oct. I had never gotten more than 15k out of a front/9k rear before they should have been replaced and I'll be over 20k on my D408/D407 combo (still have 3/32" left) when I replace them. Because of the excellent wear (and that they both wore pretty evenly) I'm planning on replacing them with the same.
These cracks in the tires concern me though, since I like to put lots of miles on the bike--hate to be on a trip and need to try to convince a dealer that the tires needed to be warrantied.
I have gone through five front tires on my 2012 Street Glide due to cracking on the sidewalls on the 408 series tire. I have just over 9000 miles on the bike this year and the cracking has shown up with as few as 250 miles up to 3500 before replacing them. The dealer has been great about taking care of me but I think Dunlop needs to figure this out. I was told the tire rep said its just cosmetic but after a couple of these tires had what looked like gashes opening up on the sidewall I almost dont trust getting on the bike.
Just bought a 2012 CVO Street Glide and I was looking at the front tire (D408F) and wouldn't ya know it I found a bunch of cracking right along the rim. Guess it is time to call a dealer and see what they say. Thought I would post here rather then starting a new thread. Anyone got any updates on this issue as far as Dunlop pulling their heads out of their rears and fixing this issue?
