meet this guy, last weekend, saw on his bike this very home made looking oilcooler on his bike, forget to take a pic, but he gave me this link on e-bay, he said is the same, one only he add a universal car fan, you cant see the fan if you dont looking for, he got it from auto part store for $25 bucks and the oilcooler for $30 bucks and he said his bike run 200 degrees on 100 degrees day, stock on traffic in d.c metro area, anybody ever try something like this before? ....look like a its just a universal automatic transmitions cooler! ...
I've never used that kit and I can see why your trying to cut costs but try to imaging what it would look like on a motorcycle let alone a Harley. Now if we were talking about adding it to a 4 wheeled vehicle.... definitely something to look at.
yeah, I;m cheep as the next guy ( maybe cheeper) but at some point looks has to come into it.
I have seen coolers like this mounted inboard of the saddlebags on a panhead.
oil coolers are always good ( as long as the oil gets hot enough to boil out water--- more than 212şF----) and the added capacity helps too
10 years ago the fad was turning the crash bars into an oil cooler ( except the interior of the crash bar is filled with rust, welding cast and junk...)
