Something Wicked this way comes!
I finished up the install last night. It was 10 pm when I finished so I have not listened to the system yet except to verify all speakers functioned before buttoning up everything.
I will tune the amps tonight and get pictures of the final results and post em up this evening.
So last night I get home and I set the gains on the amp's and selected a tune to play. I got to really crank it up for the first time and after 6 days of hard work installing this beast!
All I can saw is WOW, Holy Chit this system sounds fuggin fantastic!
I am going to wash the bike this evening and get some pictures of the final results. I will be starting a new thread on this, this one is kinda spread out and I want to give others a good look at what goes into a system like this and what it takes to get there.
I know when i started looking around and reading up on Harley sound systems, there is a ton on info all over this forum. The one that sticks out the most was GLACIERPEARL'S install thread. That was the one that pushed me over the edge and got me started shopping for components.
But even as good as that thread was, there were still questions I had that I could not find the answers to. I hope to address those little nitpicking things and hopefully they can help the next guy that comes along and wants to tackle a system like this.
But until then, here is a teaser picture of the amp's and how I mounted them. I'll have a whole new thread with more detailed pictures this evening.
Now you see me.................

Now you don't......................

BTW,.....where is that ground wire going ??
Are you happy with the sound now ???
The seat does not sit on the frame now, it is pinching all the wires and sits me a little higher. I did not think it was that bad but I took it for a ride a few minutes ago and it needs to be adressed ASAP.
As far as the ground goes, I just wanted to eliminate any grounding issues from the start and the ground cable I had was long enough to reach the battery.
Plus, I plan on installing a second battery in the tour pack, so it will be used to connect to the other battery.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I have been skeptical about the 6x9 facing into the bag--but those damn things are load!
On a side note-can you guys give me a tip or two on your disconnects?
I have amp and speakers in bags, and it is a pain to take bags off--
I have to pull 4 rca's, main power, ground, and 3 sets of speaker cables everytime....
I would call one of the wiring sales websites, and speak to a rep, for some ideas. I'm sure they make something for your application !
