Default Bitter Sweet

After spending 9 months out of country for work I got home early thursday morning. Thursday mid-afternoon I pulled the '09 RKC out of storage and took a ride to my local dealer (150 + miles away) and traded it in for a '13 FLHX.

The last ride on the King was a nice comfortable ride were I got to break in my rain gear, which was the first time since I bought the bike in 2009. The King was my fist HD and I all though I have no real complaints about the bike I have always found myself looking at the Street Glides and dreaming. The King will be missed.....

The ride home was awesome. The Street Glide handles a lot different than the King I am not sure why but I love it. Box stock the seating position is more comfortable for me and I enjoyed being behind the batwing. I didn't get any of the buffering that I read about and expected. I can already tell there will be some work done with the sound system, I don't want to blast anyone away I just want to be able to hear it above 70 MPH.

So far I am loving it and can't wait to get my long list of chores done around the house and get some more seat time.

Congrats on the new ride, you'll enjoy it. If you want an upgrade to the stereo, look at the J&M Rokker speakers/amp. Simple installation, great upgrade, nice clear sound and great customer service.

Harley Boom Speakers will work as well. I added the Boom's and nothing else, and at 50-55% volume I can hear it at any speed.

You might find you need some hiway pgs if you have long legs.....Maybe a Klockwerk windscreen. I'm 6'2 and bought a 8.5 inch tall one and it works perfect.

P.S. you're showing you traded the RK in on September 30 instead of August 30.....
