Wow that's a long time. 7-8 k did the change the frame? My bike is at dealer for past week and half waiting for adjuster to show up. Every bit of painted parts on my bike is damaged except for rear fender. Tour pack was on. I can only imagine how much my repairs will cost. Said may need frame replaced cause tab tore off where crash bar mounts (seems it could be welded back easy enough). I'm glad yours is getting close
Glad you didn't get hurt.
I got rear ended in a car about 15 years ago so I am a bit paranoid about getting hit on the bike so when I stop I pulse the brakes on off especially more often when cars are coming up behind me in my lane, it seems to get their attention.
However if they are texting or talking on the phone no garantee.
All the best with the repairs
