Used it once on my '99 RK. Oil pump failed shortly after. Coincidence? My local dealer won't use it on any bikes. I won't use it in my 2012 Limited. I like Amsoil.

I use it in all 3 holes. My bike shifted good from the onset, but I switched at the 5k service and I feel the bike shifts smoother. That's a hard thing to substantiate without testing, but I'm personally convinced my bike is running better in part because of the redline. The tranny fluid smells bad like concentrated diesel oil.

I remember reading in one thread were a guy said he wouldn't use it anymore because when he opened up his tranny the gears all gummed up , so do a search.

I remember that. It was Drew from the now closed Dr. VTwin. I don't run Redline because of that. He was a pretty straight shooter...

Use it in all three holes and love it. Can't buy it locally. Have to order online prior to need. A bit of a hassle, but worth it. The heavy shockproof made my tranny quiet and neutral is easier to find. The 20/50 reduced my top end chatter also.

I use Redline products in the engine, tranny & primary. It did seem to quite down the engine. The Redline ShockProof in the tranny made a big difference in finding neutral & shifting. I used all HD Syn in my 07 in all three holes & it sounded like it had marbles rattling inside. There are some great syns out there, but I would use a gear type lube in the tranny. Good luck.

I use Red Line Shockproof in my Baker DD6 because Baker recommends it.

FWIW, I was at a H-D dealership the other day and that have Red Line, Amsoil, and Mobil 1 products available in their parts department.
