BAL 1 is scary bright. Don't need anything more than that. Have not seen CD so can't say how it compares. New rear light is best investment you can make. Good luck.

CD all around here....bang for buck they are the best IMO..... great customer service, too. BAL is nice but pricey for one light.

I have the cd triple play on mine. I love mine, I get a lot of great comments. The only bad comment I get is other bike riders think they are too bright. Lol

Bought the BAL from my dealer for about $185 and did not think twice.
I was rear ended once..

Kuryakyn's are pretty bright too.

The BAL was very simple plug and play though..
Recommended!!
