So, what did you do with your front forks ?
Did you powder coat them?
I was trying to decide if I should buy some lowers and sell my stock ones or just paint/powder coat what I have.

I had them powdercoated. I took the legs out and the HD shop broke them down and put them back together for 80 bucks. I just did not want to deal with breaking them down. Powder coat is so cheap..Everything you see gloss black was powdercoated. That plus my heat sheilds and slipons were ceramic coated..total cost was 350 for all of that..
I have to find a local guy that does PC now, I am sure there are some around, we have bike shops on every corner around here.
I might take your advice on breaking them down too, that sounds like a wise $80's spent.
So you said everything that is glossy black was powder coated, I didnt realize you could get a glossy powder coat, I always think of the motor and how that is like wrinkle or flat black powder coat.
I want to do a mix of flat and gloss black, I suppose I can do both finishes in powder coat?
Actually I think I Am going to do all the legs, bars, light bar, highway bar, and what would be chrome in gloss black and have the tins painted flat black with a thin red stripe maybe, or somehow incorporate some subtle red.
Probably do the bags gloss too, not sure.
I plan to add visors to all my front lights and signals and then have it all blacked out, I hadn't thought of powder coating that stuff but now I am thinking that might be easier and less expensive.
Thanks again,

Yep..I did my levers and the windshield hardware in flat black...then everything else in gloss black. I took the trim rings straight out of the package and had them powder coated along with the nacelle and aux lights..etc..
I am planning on installing cruise on my 2011 Road King Police. Can you give me any hints? Was it easy to do? I understand I will have to have the dealer do some computer crap. Thanks! Your bike looks great!
