Default FLHP build-start to finish

At the beginning of June, I purchased a 2010 FLHP after selling my 2010 RGC. I did a few mods to the bike and thought I would put together a thread of some of the things I did and parts used in case they are helpful. Sorry if it gets lengthy.

The beginning (kind of)(exhaust was done here):

Exhaust:
My first hurdle was to find an exhaust that would not go out the back of the extended bags/fender. Since the puffer muffler is not made anymore. I decided to just make my own slip on. I made it out of a thrush muffler(24210) and a slant tip from autozone(62-0266) . To finish it out, I cut the cat out and had the heat shields and the new slip-ons ceramic coated.

Exhaust in progress:

Bars:
I had decided I wanted beach bars on my bike so I went with the W0550B bars. Since the Police bikes do not have cruise I went ahead and added it using the cruise control kit(77197-08) and kit from cruisemount(HRKP0812). I also added heat demons for heated grips while wiring the bars which required me to drill out the throttle side of the bar to 7/8" for the TBW to work correctly. I did run into one issue using the Avon custom contour grips. The grips were too short. I called the manufacturer and I was able toorder some new ones which were the proper length. Apparently there are still some short ones floating around that were ordered by Drag that way. This set-up required no new cables..just extended the wires using C01040126 from bkrider.

Bars installed:

Body:
Front fender-Bad dad 21" Mo'FL front fender
Rear fender-Bad dad Summit Fender with square cut with recessed license plate
Bags-4 1/2" Bad dad stretched bags
Hinge hardware-http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/ar...part/AN-03-525

Mocked up:

Rear Lighting:
Another hurdle..at least for me. I had decided I wanted to go with tear drop lights in the bags. These had to function as Run/Turn/Brake. So I got the Kuryakyn run/turn/brake module(4859). This is made to work with the stock circuit/harness. So I robbed the board from the tail light and mounted the circuit board in the right side cover under the ABS stuff. Reused the blinker wires and just extended them to each bag. I used the pro one lights(402060). I also had to add load resistors to prevent hyper flashing.

Rear Blinkers mounted:

Wheels:
Front-21" DNA Mammoth with DNA rotors-originally had some humming when braking..replacing pads with Lyndall Z-plus pads fixed this.
Rear-16" DNA Mammoth

Seat:
C&C solo pushed back an additional inch

Misc:
Cycle smiths Banana boards
Vtwin extended shifter on the rear
Avon custom contour shifter pegs and rear passenger pegs

Apart for paint an powder coat:

Complete:
