Default Bluetooth....Need Advice

I'm in a bit of a state of confusion and I'm hoping the experts here can give a little advice. A couple of weeks ago I rode 2 up for the first time in a long time and used the intercom on my 2012 Ultra Classic. I wasnt impressed with the VOX feature...unless you kept it completely open it was very hard to voice activate. In addition, it would be nice to get the voice prompts from my Zumo 550 (the Garmin variety, not Road Tech), and have the ability to communicate bike to bike when I ride with friends.

I started debating what to do and almost pulled the trigger on a Sena SMH10 set-up. This would do almost everything I was missing and was a decent bank for the buck, but I hesitated because I didn't want to give up the interface with the HK radio. If I went with the Sena I would give up being able to use the CB, which I've used from time to time on group rides. Also would no longer have option of getting HK audio through the helmet speakers. On the other hand the Sena would give me the interface with my Zumo and my Blackberry through the Zumo, and I could play MP3s through the Zumo and get them in the helmet. I'm really torn as to what to do.

I guess my real question is, is there any solution where I could get the best of both worlds? Get the bluetooth connections I am missing and still keep the interface of the OEM communications system? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Do you honestly need all of that communication capability at the same time and also, do you think you can adequately concentrate on your driving/riding to do it safely?

Folks, please....while I respect your opinions and understand your concerns, I didn't ask for a lecture on riding safety. I just simply want to know what my options are and if there is anything that exists that I haven't considered.

Thanks again.

I am interested as well. Not that I need everything at once but I want the option to use what I want when I want it.

This is my setup:

I use the aux in on the radio and have about 17 hrs of mp3's on my Zumo 660. The only downside is not able to listen to the CD player or the radio w/o switching it. I listen to mp3's through the Garmin. The Garmin will override the mp3's for turns, etc. The CB will override the Garmin/mp3's, my Iphone is bluetoothed through the Garmin and will override the garmin/mp3's when a call comes through so if your talking on the phone the Garmin doesn't tell you about turns to take. The headset is awesome. When I first connected it I called home while I was doing 70 mph on the freeway and when I played it back it sounded like I was in the room.

The wife and I use the Sena SMH10's. Love em! Personally, I hate the CB anyway so I didn't feel like I gave up anything. I have my IPhone paired to my unit and the wife has hers paired to her IPhone. I listen to my ITunes, Pandora, IHeart radio, whatever it is I want to listen to and she does the same. I have the Garmin USA app on my IPhone so I have voice turn by turn coming in to my helmet as well. The VOX on the Sena's is a little hard to activate, so we just push the jog dial when we want to talk and push it again when we are done. No little buttons to have try and navigate, super simple even with gloves on. I have been very pleased with these so far.

J&M Audio have just what you're looking for...BUT it's a crazy price $600.00
I'd love to have one, but $600 is out-to-lunch

You can pick up the dual pack of the SMH10 for 299.99. That's a little more reasonable.
