Default Damaged fairing

So I am making a right turn into our cabins driveway, and a friggin idiot tries to go around me on the right! Luckily no injuries to me, but the bike's fairing got some road rash, no cracks, the engine guard scratched, and the windshield bent a little.
Bike is 2006 blue and silver EG classic. Anyone know if that damage is enough for the Ins Co. to total the bike.

No it is not. I crashed in '06 and did $5500 in damage including fairing, front fender, winsheild, left saddlebag, guard rails and engine guard to name a few things. Insurance company just wrote me a check and I was riding the next weekend.

If you own it outright, take the check and buy discount parts and do work yourself and make some $

That's what I did. I only needed to replace the engine gaurd to make the scoot ridable again. All the other damage was cosmetic to the plastic parts. I just waited til December when a local dealer had their Christmas sale. The days date was the discount off and it started on the 15th. December 24th I was waiting for the doors to open and I bought 75% of my repair parts at 24% off. I saved a ton of money. Only used half of the insurance money and used the other half to insulate and heat my garage to do the repairs in comfort.

it depends. the crashbar hit the ground, all it takes to total the bike is for the crash bar to tweak the little tab between the down tubes where it attaches to the frame. i wouldn't count on the bike being totaled, but you never know till it is inspected, and the ins company makes a decision.
