Default Security problem?

I got my 2005 road king police repainted and had a problem starting it when I put the tank back on. The blinkers would flash but the bike wouldn't turn over. I did some steps I found on the Internet and it fired right up. Moved it to storage and started working on it again. Now when I turn the key on the fuel pump comes on and my dash lights work but it won't display the mileage, no lights will work and it won't turn over. I can't remember what I did to solve the problem the first time due to too much bud light. Anyone had a problem with this? Thanks.

First off you need to drink a different beer Bud light sucks get some 8.0 octane beer.
Second off have you ever replaced the battery in your key fob?

Is it now doing exactly the way it was doing earlier? Do you have a security system on the bike with key fobs?

The bike didn't have a key fob when I purchased it. I did buy one however thinking I could program it. Almost everything is the same this time except now the blinkers won't flash and no lights will come on.
