3rd gear problem
I have a 2000 road king and I'm having a problem shifting into 3 gear sometimes when I'm racing it I almost always miss 3rd goes into nuetral,some times on just a gradual acceleration and the weird one is when I'm in 3rd turning to the left while its banked over it comes in and out of gear. Any info would be great I'm hoping its nothing major.

welcome to the forums.
hard to tell from here, but i would suggest that the shifting mechanism inside the tranny is buggered.
This can happen if air impact tools are used on the clutch hub nut.
Suggest you look into this before something breaks and pooches the gear set.

3rd gear
My 3rd gear was gone, tore 07 Softail 6speed apart- found dog gear blown apart and 3rd gear shift fork worn badly. Didnt see any other damage. Replaced those 2 parts, put back together- same issue. Havent taken it apart again yet. I ride it like I stole it... burn outs etc.. Going to Tate it down again and see whats what... probably blew that dog ring again....
