Fast question, where is the 107 air temp sensor ??? been all over the forks/ batwing.... can't find it. I am all done with the gauge/ wiring and oil plug/sensor. I just need to find the damn air sensor so I can plug in the wire. If you got any pictures they would be a great help. Nothing in the service manual that I could find. Thanks in advance.
on my 09, the sensor itself is on the left side of the fork neck--- it looks like a glossy PVC or rubber plug over an "unused wire"

Exactly right. It's a small black box like sensor about 1/2" x 1/2" x 3/8". It sits on the frame just behind the yoke. I find for stuff like this it really helps to own a copy of the parts manual. I always get one for every bike I buy.
I pulled my sensor off. I doubt you'll ever want to reinstall it but if you do leave it on the bike because the quick fit stem breaks off and then it's useless.

Before you put the fairing back on, did you put your oil temp gauge where the air temp gauge was? An idea is to put it where the voltmeter is so that both oil gauges are on the same side of the dash.
