Default Stealth Grips Problem

Had a set of Stealth grips installed a couple weeks ago when I had ny brake recall done. Just got in from a ride and noticed the left grip's end cap is loose and will "spin." I'll call Monday about it.

My question is... WTF? $89 for grips and in 2 weeks there are problems? Anyone had similar issues? It's 80 miles to the closest dealer for me. Even if they make it good (they will) it's 1/2 day wasted to go get it right. I know it's a minor issue but it gives me the red-***.

I feel better now.

There is a nylon nut that holds the end cap of the grip on, loosen up the two torx screws on the left control about 3/4 er's of the way out (or remove). the grip won't to be glued on like aftermarket brands, but is held in the housing by the collar on the grip. Slide the grip off and tighten the plastic nut up some.

My right stealth grip came unglued where the rubber fits on to the sleeve that works the throttle cables. It took a thousand miles for the rubber to rotate all the way around on the sleeve. I pulled it off and reglued it at a station in Wyoming. I still like the feel of those grips and will buy another set when these wear out.

Your advice was dead on. I fixed the problem today. Its took about 15 mins and one mixed drink start to finish. Thanks for the help.
