Check out Fuel Motos new tuner for $199, cheap and simple for stage one.

I rode the bike 1 K stock and had the dealer do the 1 K service. While there they installed the V&H intake, power duals, fuelpak, and SE street performance mufflers. Much less heat, runs great and I am happy with the fuelpak. Have absolutely no plans to "go inside" the engine.

If I wasn't ready to go the tuner route, I would get the XIED...see link below and give them a call. Great addition for a stock, or nearly stock bike. When I got ready or decided I needed a tuner of some kind, I would call Fuel Moto. (This is what I should have done but didn't....hindsight is always 20/20!)

As far as warranty work. I had no problems at all. I installed the 2-1 Rinehart, Arlen Ness Intake and the PC-V. The map came on it. I had Cycle Solutions Dyno tune it.

Had a few mechanical issues that required warranty work and they didn't blink. It will not mess with the warranty.

I installed the Power Commander V, a K&N filter, V&H Monster Ovals, and V&H Power Duals. My bike is a 2012 so it had 15mm O2 sensors in the cats. I bought the Power Duals for a 2009 Ultra as they have 18mm bungs in the headpipes. Right now I have chrome plugs in the bungs. I removed my O2 sensors and purchased plugs from the dealership to plug the connectors under my sidecover. If I ever want to add the Power Commander Autotune which comes with 18mm Wide Band O2 sensors, I'll simply remove the 18mm bung plugs. For now the Dynojet Power Commander program online for my build is working great so I have no plans to purchase the Autotune

Ive got a 103 SG with VH slip ons but looking to add a heavy breather and headers, (VH power duals), then switch the slip ons to CFRs, their knockoffs or something louder than what I have.
I no didley phukkin' squat about ecms, tuners, mapping, etc and the search function didnt do much help for me. Do I even need a tuner? or will the "ecm flash" from HD for $218 really get me lined up and good to go with the stage 1?

Thanks for the education in advance!

From personal experience, I would not use a fuel-pak. The guys at V and H are nice enough when you speak with them, but, I went through three fuel-paks and just couldn't get them to operate correctly. My SG would backfire and them quit while cruising along at 80 + mph. I finally removed the third one from v&h and purchased a se race tuner. No problems since.

I think this is pretty spot on. If you like to tinker which I do then get a tuner you can tinker with. Hard to beat Fuel Moto support from what I have seen and heard. No major mods the XIED work well.

I run a TTS but I like to tinker. If I was to buy now it would be hard to not go with Power Vision and Fuel Moto support.

Just My 02. Happy decisions.
