Just wondering if saddlebag speakers are a worthwhile addition for riding. I dont really sit around much with the sound system on, but I wanted to get a bit more sound out of my existing system (Rockford Fosgate amp with Polk speakers) while riding. I wasnt sure if I would be able to hear the bag speakers since they would be behind me and because of the wind. Opinions and experiences anyone?
they are more for sitting still, like you said they are behind you and if your running 80 you not really getting much from them. i have rode my dad's cvo and really didnt notice them while moving, except you get a lil bit of bass from them. i will be adding them on mine soon, but i do use my audio alot while parked
I use earphones and get much better quality sound while I can still hear the traffic. The earphones also protect my ears from noise damage when the music is off.
In my opinion, all these speakers make the Harley a large boom box. HD has speakers on the fairing, lower fairings, saddlebags... Where will they put more speakers next??? In the tour pack?
Seriously, it's a bike, not a car...
I was considering getting a CVO bike but all these speakers everywhere turned me off... Too bad the extra speakers (not on fairing) are not an option on the CVO bikes.
