Tell him you are interested in cam shafts, full exhaust, air cleaner, and upgraded tuner of some sort. Ask him lots of questions and be prepared to tell him specifics about what kind of riding you do and your preferences with regards to the looks of the bike and sound. He'll do a good job for you.

Good luck.
+2 , Jamie and the gang will take care of you! They did both my bikes.

+3,
a gentleman named Don just emailed me back yesterday and shot me a quote on the woods 222 cam kit w/ lifters, gaskets, and clutch spring. I allready have the pipes, SE air breather, and PV tuner (re liscensed from my 07).
Today he should be gettting back to me with their installed, out the door price. I am about 4 hours from them and we need a short jaunt that direction soon anyhow....

I did the 103 w/ 255 cams kit on my 11 Softail I had and loved the way it ran. I just dropped my 12 RGC off last night to have my exhaust, intake, and went with the 255 cams again. I very rarely went over 4500 rpm so the fact that everyone says they run out on you at 4500 didnt effect my decision.

If you're going to do head work, then you should absolutely upgrade the cams as well.

Most people love the way a 255'd bike runs. I probably would have too but I just HAD to be different.

Every vehicle I've ever owned has proved to be the same - the more extreme you go, the better it used be.

That being said, I'm not disapointed - but be honest with yourself. Most everyone loves a stage 1 and 255 cam upgrade. Excellent bang for the buck.

Jamie is getting 95+ HP and 112+ TQ numbers on exhaust, air, tuner and cam. They did me very well as you will hear from many others here ......

An earlier post on this thread says that with just a cam don't expect more than 10 hp gain. I didn't change mine 1 at a time, so I can't comment if you only changed the cam and left everything else stock. BUT, I can tell you with the change to FM ss headers, pro touring pipes, intake, and TW777 cams, bought through Fuel Moto, I got a much more
than 10 hp increase.

Obviously more involved and costly than just cams and exhaust, but I am very happy with the SE Stage Four I had done by my dealer. Plenty of power.

I got 93 hp and 113 tq. with 254e's fatcat heavy breather and SE pro tuner. Less than 1 hour spent on the Dyno. Bike pulls VERY WELL.

Thumbs up Cam Install Labor?

Anyone know the approximate number of labor hours required for a cam swap?

I've already done the air cleaner and exhaust, and am thinking a SE-255 over the winter and then a dyno run to bring it all together.

Also very interested in your final dyno figures after a/c, exhaust, and cam in your various configurations, and impressions of the ridability and seat of the pants comparisons before/after.

Thank You-

-Ray
