Default Installed Road6Customs 1-3 lowering blocks

Well back in July I made the switch from my Softail to my 12 RGC. I have loved this bike and not regretted the decision. I am however on the shorter side. I have 30" inseam. While the stock height was ok I could be flat foot on one side and not there on the other was fine riding by myself it was a bit challenged due to the extra weight with someone on back. So I bought a set of Road6Customs 40 dollar 1-3 inch lowering blocks and installed them over last weekend. Install took maybe 30 minutes and I set them to the middle position of 2" drop. Me and a friend decided we were going to get the bikes out and see how the ride was with the install and the ride and comfort was not harmed. I now sit flat foot both sides and it is still just as smooth of a ride as it was. I do not bottom out; even with passenger on back and am really glad I installed. The blocks are nice and thick well made steel components with hardened bolts. I would suggest them to anyone that is wanting to lower their scoot for any reason.

I also use these, along with 11.5 inch Progressive HD 412 shocks. The combo lets me flat foot it, and the ride is not bad, even two up.

So - question for you on these. The blocks obviously lower just the back end, so didn't the two-inch drop introduce some visibility challenges? Or did you lower the front end, as well?

no... not enough to notice... because the RoadShark's nose is out there so far as it is...it didnt make a noticeable change I still see to the point I was looking at before. I don't have a huge windscreen on the bike so all is good.

Ahh - true that. I think the SG's batwing is probably more of a disadvantage in that respect. Good to know that the lowering blocks didn't negatively affect your ride though - even two up. I was concerned about that. Appreciate your report - thanks!

You didn't feel any difference in handling due to the geometry change of the shocks?
