So I rode over to a buddy's yesterday for a cookout. It was dark out when it came time to leave. I turned the bike on and fired it up when I realized I had no headlight. To be exact, there was a little bit of light coming from the top bulb and nothing from the side bulbs but was nowhere near enough to ride it home. My bike has only about 1700 miles on it and the LED headlight was purchased and installed when I bought the bike. I'm planning on calling the dealer that I bought the bike from today but was wondering if anyone else has had an experienced like this? I love the headlight but for $525 I was really hoping it would be trouble free...
No answers but H-D does warranty their products for two years when purchased/installed when bike is purchased. On a side note, that light is warranteed by H-D for (1) year otherwise yet CW Speaker (the mfr of the light) warrants their LED product for (3) years. I'm sure the dealer will have you in/out quickly...
My understanding is HD upped the warranty to 3 years on the LED headlight to match what JW Speaker offers on it. If HD gives you crap you may want to try to contact JW Speaker themselves. After all they do manufacture the lights.

I had a similar thing happen to me one time. 1 hour from home and only 30 minutes of daylight and the (stock) head light didn't work.
That was the day I decided to put the auxiliary lights on.
It turns out for me, I had taken the front fairing off that morning and forgot to plug the headlight back in when I put the fairing back on.
