AGM ( Absorbed Glass Mat) is the way to go.

Check out Deka.

You can find a local supplier for their website

Same quality at 60% price

Did lots of research and went back with the HD battery myself. Got 7+ years out of the OEM. HD tech friend of mine says he has seen bikes come in the shop with strange electrical problems which are solved by replacing the aftermarket battery with a HD battery. Don't know why he would lie to me, he no longer works for HD, so nothing to gain. Just sayin.

Just got an AGM batt. for my son's Yamaha today from Oreilly, $99 plus local sales tax. Couldn't find a manufacturer named on the box, says made in USA though. Claimed 340 CCA from a batt slightly smaller than the Harley EXT30 size. I'm running a batt from batterymart.com, was $97 and free shipping. Said Big Crank or something like that but came in a Deka box. On my second year, seems to be working fine.
