I agree it would be nice to know what's in the upgrade. It would be nice if they could come up with a patch to enable bluetooth. Just sayin'...

gives you 10 more hp, and 15 more ft/lbs of torque



seriously, no clue what the updates are, but if you are installing the ipod module, one of the steps in the installation is to make sure that your files are updated prior to installation.....

Unhappy Software update
I downladed the files, burnt them to a CD, put it in the radio, and it verified it the first time, I followed the insturctions, and it got to verifying disc the 2nd time and got stuck there for like 10 minutes too. I finally got pissed and decided to quit. I went to eject the disc and it wouldnt eject. I had to turn off the bike, and turn it back on, and hit the eject as soon as the radio lit up to get the disc out. Don't know what the problem is.

Cool Upgrade
Well, I used a stand a lone disk burner set to 4x burn and the ISO recommended, and it worked. Using windows burner didn't work. Dont know why. Maybe because it was Windows lol

Seems kinda ridiculous everyone is doing this upgrade without knowing exactly what it does. Newer isn't always better, sometimes it turns very problematic.

done everything the same except my OS is Windows XP...I get no other message on stereo other than "Verifying DSP Image".

upgrading mine as to recommendation on HD Boonm headsets for more VOX...it's in the directions.

Upgraded with no problems. I have noticed I now have a radio station hiss when playing a CD... Investigating!

Did you find the source of the hiss? Just wondering if I should try this (again) if it may cause issues. Wouldn't load the updates last go round.
