Well if everything goes as planned I'll will test ride a 2013 Road Glide Ultra Friday ,,They told me I could put 300 miles on it if I want ,,Just have to be back to the DealerShip before they close for the day,,, It's a Rental so I guess that's why I can ride all day..
I guess that's how it works you buy a 09 Ultra Spend a Boat Load of Money on it ,,Put 10,000 on it, Go test a Road Glide and Start All Over Again (if i like it ) if I do I guess I'll Sell the 09 and buy the Road Glide.....Boy them there HD People Sure are SMART !!!!
i bet they'll already have a nice one all shined up for you to droll over when you get back with numbers already printed, if they let you walk out and trust you come back they might not get the sale....
I did a couple of those "test rides". Two days and almost 600 miles on an Elecrta Glide Limited then a three day test on a Road Glide Ultra and 1,100 miles. I still could not decide between the two and went with the one I got a better deal on.
I have been trying to get a test ride on a Road Glide Ultra for over a month. Went to a dealership I have always used (my 06 Road King was purchased there). Was honest with the salesman and told him I was looking to buy in the next two months. He goes to his sales manager and they will not let me do a test drive because it is the only 13 Road Glide Ultra they have. Then they said they did not want any milage on the new bike. Guess I have to call around to find a dealer that wants an easy sale once the weather turns bad.
I'd love to know how much the average owner spends on accessories during the ownership period. For me it was about 1/3 the price of the bike on my last ride.
Speaking of test rides, they pulled my Ultra into the shop to replace a broken reflector on the fornt fender (warranty) and while standing around they asked if I wanted to take one of the shop bikes for a ride. A Heritage Softtail with a 120R crate motor in it. I said HELL YEAH and off I went! To be honest, I wasn't as impressed as I should have been. I expected a lot more out of it.
No test ride today ,,,yesterday just before quiting time my Boss came in the office and let me know i'll be working Friday ,,,,I call the Dealer and they said no big deal I can do it any time I get free, As long as they don't have the bike rented,,
