I have to say I am always a little skeptical with new stuff that is supposed to make my bike better, and sometimes wonder if whatever the upgrade is will actuallyl make a noticeable difference, but these shocks from motorcyclemetal are a home run.
Put them on yesterday (2-2 adjustables) and went out for little ride and found they work as advertised vs the stocker air shock set up.
As I turn into my neighborhood there is a seam in the pavement that has rolled a little and I know very well how the air set up feels, that sharp clunk and sensation of hitting a baby curb, and that was the first place I went. The way I can explain it is the clunk is gone and rather than the abruptness fo the baby curb, it was way more gentle and the bike "absorbed" the shock I guess that is why they are called shock absorbers, huh.
Thanks too to Howard for his willingness to visit with me on the phone both before I got these shocks and during the install.
One of the best decisions I have made.
Break in shoudn't take long, I have a 25 mile ride to work, and if I havent' mentioned my install of Jason's modified Ricor Intiminator, I should. Front dive is gone with rear brake, still a little on the front brake. Went with 3.5 inch spacer for the RT springs, and the front end feels "tighter" and also steps over the bumps easier. A few hundred miles and I think I will be sitting pretty
