Exclamation Ride On Motorcycle Tire Balance and Sealant

Anybody ever tried this stuff? I am waiting for a new set of Michelin Commander !!'s and run tubes in my spoked wheels so wondering about this.

http://www.easternperformance.com/pr...-Metric-Bikes-

Product Description

Sold as a single tube of 8oz or as a three pack with 24oz ( This will cover the recommended dosage for most motorcycle applications)
Click here for installation and dosage tables

While you ride, a protective layer of Ride-On TPS - a tire balancer and sealant containing fibers six times stronger than steel evenly coats the inner surface of your tires. This coating balances your tires and makes them into self sealing tires for LIFE! Balance - With one installation of Ride-On, lead weights become a thing of the past. While Ride-On works in conjunction with traditional weights, you won’t need them anymore. Ride-On is specially formulated to hydrodynamically balance high-speed tires and dampen road noise and vibrations that cause a rough ride. The great thing is Ride-On will continue to adjust and literally rebalance your tires as you ride for the legal life of the tires. So go ahead, pop off those wheel weights, shine your wheels, and enjoy the smoothest ride you have ever experienced on your bike. Ride-On is TPMS friendly, however it is not recommended for use in 2009, 2010, and 2012 Honda Gold Wings as their TPMS Sensors are not hermetically sealed
Safety First - With Ride-On TPS tire sealant, your tire literally fixes itself! If your tire is punctured, the centrifugal force of the rotating tire and the internal air pressure force Ride-On into the hole, sealing it virtually instantly. Since it helps eliminate porosity leaks that cause tires to deflate over time, your tires stay properly inflated, last longer, your bike handles better and gets more miles per gallon.

Works in Tubes and Tubeless Tires - Ride-On TPS will eliminate 85-95% of your flats in tubeless tires from objects up to 1/4" (1/8” for tube tires) that penetrate the contact area of your tire. Due to a tire’s inner curvature, Ride-On will not seal sidewall damage, or damage near the shoulder of the tire (the outside 1-1.5” of the tire tread). If a tire has a cut, impact break, bruise, bulge, snag, or sidewall damage, take the tire out of service and have it inspected by a professional tire care specialist.

I don't think so what ever crap you put in you have to take out when you replace your tires and I'm sure that it will take quite awhile to clean the wheels up & it may cause your wheels to rust also. Not for me just add air or replace the tire.

Not yet, but I am thinking about it for my tubes. Maybe on my next set...

I am considering this when I replace my wheels but understand that it is less effective as a sealant on tubed tires.

I'm using it in my front and back Commander II tires and whether it works to seal potential flats or not I don't know. I choose to believe it does. I would rather not have to prove it does. If you don't have it definitely won't. It definitely does balance the tires and improves the ride. The stuff is water soluable so cleaning it out when a tire change is due really isn't an issue.

I had a flat one time in a major thunder storm in the desert at night on highway 50. I choose to believe Ride-on will save me from ever having to endure that again.

I ran it through 2 tires on my metric bike. Good stuff! The dealer where I bought the tires put it in and they said clean up for a new tire was a breeze.

I had a rear tire that required 3.75 oz to balance. My Harley dealer service dept. said under 4 oz was considered within limits and would not replace the tire. Per Ride-On's suggested amount I added 2 oz Ride-On to get rid of the wad of weights on the rim.

I tried the Ride-On with the weights and without, it would bounce so bad with the Ride-On it would blur my vision at 60 mph. I called Ride-on and they sent me more free of charge to add more to the tire. It made it worse. The rep at Ride-On kinda threw his hands up and blamed it on the tire.

I finally got my HD dealership owner involved and he quickly agreed to replace the tire for me. They balanced the tire with weights and I have had no more issues. The new tire only required 3/4 oz to balance.

So if your tire requires a lot of weight to balance, it appears Ride-On will not balance it out.

It may be great stuff, but it didn't work for me.

I have Ride On in all my bike tires, no problems or flats yet... Not sure why I use it , guess it just makes me feel better.
(I do know that sealant in my mower tires has save me a lot of down time, at work).

i had a front tire on my 12 CVO that was a bumpy tire. I had the tire rebalanced at the HD dealer and it balanced up fine but you could feel the bump every time the tire went around. Dealer said that was the best they could do, tire was balanced. So, I was out in Sturgis this year and ran across Ride On at one of the various vendor booths.

Long story short, the dude talked me into trying Ride On in the tire. I let them install it and took the bike for a quick ride up the freeway in Sturgis. Wow what a difference. tire was as smooth as silk. So i did not think anything about it, until on the way home when i noticed a bump starting right after i went through St Louis. I rode the remainder of the way home thinking, well i pissed away $$ on this tire balancing crap that was worthless. When i got home and was cleaning the gunk off the bike from 2 weeks on the road. i noticed the weights were missing off the rear wheel. So i thought maybe the bump was coming from that. So, i order up more ride on, thinking, in for a penny in for a pound. I installed the necessary amount in the rear tire and went for a quick spin. Wow, within 5 miles, bike was a smooth as silk and no more bump. Even a quick high speed run down the freeway did not bring up a bump.

So, i'm sold for now. this stuff works better than Dyna Beads in my opinion. Now i have not changed a tire since installing but being water soluable, it should clean up ok.
