Ok so I'm going to make the tour pak detachable but I'm torn as to buy the whole kit which is like 550.00 bucks or just buy the docking hardware and the two up tour pak plate, I don't need the license plate relocate bracket because if already move the plate below the taillight and I'm going to be using hidden antennas instead of moving them so what do u guys think? And also what does the hd wiring harness pt # 70032-09 do exactly? I was just planning on using some weather pak connectors under the seat to make the wire harness quick disco but I can't seem to find out form either one of the dealers around me what this harness does... Has anyone used it?
That's the route I'm going to do. Bought the struts on eBay $150 for both they are $169 each at dealer. 4 point docking for $50 just need the rack which should be around $100
I don't use the fm radio (pandora rocks) or cb so I'm just roll both up and put under seat. The speakers and brake light should just unplug
Ok so I gotta know how do you get pandora on your bike, are u just using a iPhone or something with unlimited Internet because I could totally do without fm if I could have pandora!
Crap I didn't even think about the chrome struts, the one one my ultra a notched for the tour pak mount and the ones on my street glide were solid, does it make a difference or will he 4 point docking hardware cover up the notches? Does the 550 dollar kit come with new strut covers? Always something lol

I might be wrong, but I think the kit comes with the solid strut covers. The price of them has doubled in the last couple years.

what pipes are you running on your Ultra? I installed Rush on mine, and I have a clearance issue with the front pipe, and the rear brake clevis. Thanks
Yep I called my dealer this morning and the kit does come with the new strut covers so unless I can find some on eBay ( which right now there are none) it looks the the kit might be the way to go. I've found it online at several dealers for 469.00 now the only other thing is that wire harness # 70032-09 that not one dealer can tell me what it does and the instructions aren't that clear neither! Oh and thanks slimjeff that's a sweet setup u got there, that may have to be my next project after this! I love pandora!
I believe their are radio packages that have access to Pandora as well as other internet radio radio channels, just as long as you're in a major metro area you should be able to have Pandora without hooking up a phone. You'd have to get a new radio through.
