timer cover bolts
i bought a black cam cover and the timer bolt are not tapped any one know what size to tap them to. i tried tap them in another piece of aluminum and the bolts were to loose so i need some help?

When I installed the wrinkle black cam cover on my SE 120R I used a triangle file to cut a slot at the bottom end of the stock screw and used them to tap their way in on installation. Use a 1/3 turn in and back motion like a tap and blow the crud out before installing for good.
I have used this technique numerous times with small screw in soft material.
