1) directly to the battery
or
2) to a switched circuit
if a switched circuit witch one because i dont want to blow anything out?

i got it from a friend who took it off his SE CVO, it was too tall for him.
im putting it on my 2011 SG. so far ive riddin about 200 miles with it & love it.

Should be a connector in front of the battery that the seat plugs into. Plug-N-Play and enjoy the warmth.

Just speaking from my own experience, I wouldn't hook it up to any circuit that didn't shut off when the bike was turned off. You don't want to be parking for the night and accidentally drain the battery out!

It plugs directly into the acc switched plug, located in front of the battery and has a black rubber plug in it. You can turn it off and on with the acc switch beside your cruise switch. Love mine!

so it sounds like there is a plug under the seat in front of the battery from what you guys are talking about but would it be there if its a street glide?

& the acc switch next to the cruise switch is already being used for my ditch lights but that would be a good idea. i hope the plug (that you guys say is in front of the battery) is not wired to that switch now that i think about it......cause its not anymore.

ok...so i found the plug that you gents speak of
& it does have switched power & is not effected by the acc switch nect to the cruise switch, witch is a good thing for me (cause im using that switch for my ditch lights).

so i have another question????..........does this seat take for ever to heat up?
i had it plugged into the bike for about 3-4 minutes & didnt notice any heat on the seat pads (front or rear) so i wired it to a car battery that i have that is fully charged so i turned on both switches & let it sit for about 5-7 minutes & them came back to it & it was slightly warm. now granted it was about 88* out side when i checked it.
so my question is does it take a while for the seat to warm up?

thanks again for any help.

ohh & a couple of pics

Sit on the seat on a chilly morning with engine running. Turn on the front heater switch on the left side of seat from middle position- up is low heat, down is high heat, middle is off. Seat will warm up ad you should be feeling it shortly maybe 3 minutes depending on how much padding you have between you and the seat! I won't ride without mine, and I use it all the time. Just remember to turn it off, you may not want the heat later in the day when it warms up.

Mine seems to take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes depending on the ambient temp outside. I can't take the high setting for more than about 6 minutes though even when the temps are in the 40's and I'm doing 70mph up the slab. Even the low setting gets to me after a while.
