Hello I saw a bike the other day and the black fabric part that holds the lid on I saw a bike that had little storage compartments on the black fabric part.. anyone know where I could get it? Thanks!

 

HD has them or you can get from other sources like elide goodies, etc. Google saddlebag lid tether tool pouch.

 

I bought some small canvas type bags with zippers at Harbor Freight, poked some holes in them, added some washers so the screws don't slip through and put one on each end of the fabric (using the screws that hold the fabric on). So one sits on the lid when open and the other hangs down in the bag. Costs $10.
