My 2009 FLHRC has a broken baffle in the left side muffler. I can hear it when decelerating, or reving the engine and letting it slow back down to idle. While I am looking for some good used or "take-off" mufflers, can any damage be done by continuing to ride the bike in this condition? Can a piece of baffling material break off and clog the exhaust?
worse yet fragments can be pulled back up the exhaust and into the cylinder.
if you are using stock type mufflers, check your local craigslist. everyone's garden shed is full of them

I call "bull shot"....Sounds impossible to me....even if the motor was to back fire on start up and run backwards for a few seconds, I can not see it pulling metal shards back 2 to 2 1/2 feet up hill, past the valves into the cylinder....especially with a 2-1-2 set up..the vacuum is just not there...
I found a set of "take-offs" from a 2011. Mine has the 96 engine, 2011 is the 103. Will the mufflers fit?
Part #s 65547-09 and 65324-09 fit '09...are these the same part #s for 2011 model?
