Default headlight door opener

did the garage opener to the headlight,, just courious,, i run with the high beams quit a bit,, so what will this do to the circut board???? i know it will only open the door when in range, but with the high beams on all the way home sometimes means 12v to the board all the time i am using the high beams,, so mabe wiring to the brake light would be better???? any body had any problems with the board wired to the high beams,,?????

depends how you wired it.

some use a momentary relay

you may be opening garage doors all over the county.

probably won't hurt anything to have 12 volts to the remote constantly

I run the high beams of the time and the only problem I have had to date is when the bike is started, sometimes the door will close. Not a real problem unless you are backing the bike out at the same time. Only took once to get used to it. I found that the door is rather hard on the head!!!

I've had the door opener on my 06RG for 6 years now and no problem with it. When I added the H-D driving lights the operation of the door opener would only work if the driving lights were on. Still can't figure that one out.
