Know anyone who as a Harley Trike who would take him for a ride? He might feel safer and would be easier to help him on and off a Trike.
anytime you have a chance to talk to any vet,, do it and thank him
Amen to that Bro, I had to thank him for allowing me to have that new ride... I always try hitting all the Honer flight rides, Make my day to see them heroes get off the bus and get a long over due welcome they deserve, and chokes me up to think about the one who didn't come home....
We are losing our WWII vets at a rate of over 700/day, every day.. I'm glad you had a chance to share some common ground with one before they are all gone. They were all hero's, to a man....many have never to this day talked about their experiences... I call 'em the John Wayne generation...... pilgrim.
Great story. The Greatest Generation, any time you get to talk with one of those guys its a real treat and a blessing. We forget sometimes how the sacrifices of past generations has allowed us to have the things we have today. Thanks for sharing.
