I'm needing shocks for my rgu as the stock ones are to stiff. I weight 155, 5'9", was looking at the 940s but think there gonna be to stiff too, should I go with the jri''s at almost double the price?

Phone Howard. He will ensure you get JRI or Ohlins shocks with the correct springs for YOU and also offers discounts to HDF members. Don't buy shocks in a box, when you can have them tailor-made!

Here is my question. I weigh about 225. The wife weighs about 140. Am I going to have to adjust these things every time I want to ride solo or 2 up?
What is the ballpark Price? They sound pricey. If they are, would going to a legend air ride be a better ride?
What sets apart shocks like JRI and Ohlins is the design and quality of their damping mechanisms. I haven't seen any other brand of shocks that earns a place in the same sentence, spring or air!
I am in the market as well, and would also like to hear about the ease of adjusting the preload when going from solo to two-up. Would I need to take the saddle bags off in order to adjust them for two-up riding? Would the ride be unbearable if I just left it set up for two-up all the time, since that is the way the Electra Glide is mostly ridden? Would it be best to find some compromise between the two settings and just leave it alone?
I am definitely doing something, just looking for the most bang for the buck.

Adjusting the preload takes less than 5 minutes, your best not to settle in between 2 settings, there are many times that I just leave my bike set up for 2 up if I know the better half is going to be riding with me a lot because I am kind of lazy and no its not the end of the world and the sky won't fall! the only reason I don't change it is because I have put screws in the bags instead of dzus fittings so it takes a minute or two more to undo the bags (the lazy part) otherwise once you know what the preload difference is it is just a matter of twisting 8 or so turns on the shock....eazy peazy.
