After reading how the HD frenched trim ring is a pain to fit properly, I've been trying to find if anyone has had experience with the Custom Chrome version. For the price, it seems worth a try. Any thoughts?
Not an answer to your question, but I didn't have too much trouble with the HD Frenched Trim ring on my 2012 Ultra Limited. It did seem kind of wierd to me that it went on over the stock trim ring, but that's how it goes. I only have a miniscule gap at the bottom -- probably about 1/32".
Now the spot lamps Frenched Trim rings were a different story. These you remove the stock trim rings and push the new ones in place. They have some dense foam rubber inside that has to be manipulated a bit to get them installed properly.
