Wiring problem solved...
My radio started giving me fits last week. Whenever the bars were turned to the left the radio would quit, like I turned the power off. I tried making only right turns but that really added the miles quickly so today I removed the outer fairing and started troubleshooting. It turns out that the red wire in connector 15A, which connects the overlay harness to the main harness, was broken and would pull apart when flexed. Fortunately is only four wires in the bundle. It broke right behind the neck and I could get to the break by strapping the bars turned to the left.
I hope my fix works for a few years because my wife didn't fall for my trying to justify a new bike because of a broken wire. I went ahead and fixed it while pouting in the garage.

But doesn't she realize that 1 broken wire leads to other broken wires and more down time and a NEW bike would solve all the trouble shooting and headaches!!....It's ok, mine wouldn't understand that idealology either!....LOL....Glad you got it fixed!
