Default Hard Water

Detailers, what do you do about hard water, I like to rinse off the bike once in awhile to get rid of some of the dust down in hard to reach places, but our water is so hard, it starts drying and water spotting before I can get it dried. Yes it's black so everything shows.

There are water filtration systems that remove calcium ,I saw one of these home systems advertised in a car magazine but I don't remember which one but a Google search could help you.

A cheaper solution is to buy a air dry system. As soon as you rinse use the air dry blower on it. It blows all the water off regardless of hard or soft and leaves you with a perfectly dry bike. No rags needed. No spots.

Maybe something like this?

$50 bucks ain't too bad. I'd guess you could search around and find something cheaper.

Otherwise, a bucket of water with a cup or two of vinegar in it might work too. Slosh it on, then hurry and towel the bike off quick.

I use bottled water in a spray bottle and microfiber cloth to clean up the water spots.
20oz is plenty to do the bike a few times.

the mr clean system worked pretty well.

out of production but still around.

replaceable filter helped with hard water.

a little jet-dry in a spray bottle can help to sheet water off of the bike.

and some air blow.

I have caps in all my allen heads
