Most dealers will charge you 3 hours, but I would recommend against using HD dealers if you want a great tune. There are sure to be exceptions, but generally the guys in HD shops are not skilled tuners.
I would try to find a few reputable tuners near where you are and have a couple of conversations.
$700, replaced the injectors, gave me great advice including "thats what happens if you do things people tell you on the forums"LOL ,included 3 custom maps incase i take some of his suggestions and make changes he would recomended. Not shure i think he did 17 pulls, runs what ever...? but dont quote me.
very pleased, tuneing was starting to not be fun for me anymore glad i had it done.Ok to get it running and out of the garage but liked the second opinion/results of a pro.
When i was down in northern California, i was running with a bad tune and needed my SE pro race tuner dialed in. i did not have time to get the bike retuned, but the HD dealer was saying a minimum of 4 hrs to build a map and do a custom tune. Dyno time $95.00 hr
Had a shop tweak my tune before my trip, and it created ping issues, they pulled timing out, it still pinged and had lack luster performance, and that cost me $225.00
Pick a good shop, I will never go back to the shop that messed up my tune.
Or you could spend the money you would spend on one tuning session, and get yourself a DTT Twin Scan +WEGO, O2 datalogger, then tune it yourself. http://www.daytona-sensors.com/WEGO3D.html It takes a little effort to get started but once you figure it out, its pretty easy. Lot of benefits to doing it yourself. Its just another option to consider.
Mine was $425 if I remember right, was tuned with SE pro tuner and they had it on the dyno for about 7 hours. Before the tune he checked the tire psi, ccp and pulled the plug to check how much oil was in the crankcase. Of all the tune's I have had in the past he was the first one to do a real tune.
