I rode up to Tennessee to spend the weekend riding with my brother.
We rode over some pretty challenging roads today. I spun out on a up hill hair pin curve right off the bat. Was going pretty slow but my exhaust pipes hit the road and lifted my back tire off the ground. I slid to a stop the bike never fell all the way over, picked it up and rode on.
Planned to ride the dragon in the morning.
I was told my pipes would drag on several curves.
I'm riding a 2013 Electra glide limited
Anybody have any experience on this road?
Thanks
Buff

The Dragon will/can spit fire in your face when you least expect it ... be careful ... Watch out for the leaves this time of year, they can/will be very slippery ... Many have donated to the "Tree of Shame" ... Ride safe Brother!
I rode the Dragon with my 2008 UltraClassic Screaming Eagle. I took it quite slow, and never scraped. It had rained earlier, and the road was wet. But, taking my time, there was no problem at all.
I stopped at Deal's Gap and got my Dragon decal for the rear fender. Looks great...
I have personally rode the Dragon a few times but never on a bagger. I took my softail. It is completely within your control as to whether you drag parts or not in my opinion. It's really a nice ride. Relax and take it easy the first time through. If you feel more confidant after learning the road a little, then push it.
Nothing on that road will jump up and bite you as long as you use some common sense.

Just throwing this out there..... do not let your ego land you in the hospital or worse. People get airlifted from the dragon every week. I have ridden it several times, and it will bite your *** If you are not on your game. If you don't already know where your Max lean angle is, take it slow. If you are going on Saturday, be prepared for traffic and potentially being passed by sportbikes. Yes, passed in your lane. Again, the dragon shows no respect for ego.....
