Yeah definetly a great upgrade and you might get the kuryakin phase 7 led which is exactly the same as the trucklite on ebay for around $230 and up. Also dont forget the HD trim ring to go with it cause the light sticks out a bit and the set up looks better as well imo.

im running a 6K HID 35W & it is a BIG improvement over stock. easy to swap out, took me about 30 minutes. i have had afew people flash me & i have gone back & readjusted the light. it seems to be a lot better now with the last adjustment but i look at it like this if the light is too bright for you & your focused on the light your focused on me.
i think even if you were to aim the light down an inch lower than stock you would still be able to see fine. these HIDs are a lot nicer than stock & they have a way of lighting up the stripping on the ground & the signs on the sides of the road.
i would like to the phase 7 bulb but not for the price they want.

I built my own Halo ring for about 25 bucks will a string of LEDs . Get compliments on it all the time. I hate the yellow of the lamp also so I tried the sylvania super white at 4100k. Brighter but a was of 26 bucks. Still yellow. I'm trying the the HID.

Side note. Friend has the HD LED and what a nice look. But the other day I noticed that unless I was infront of him during our ride in the middle of the day. His light was hard to see. Strait in front no problem but if I was on a cross street it was not that noticeable during the day. At nite it lights up the world.

Now which HID kit to go with???

had the PIAA, didnt like it & was super expensive. wound up using DDM tunings HIDs. 35w low beam & 55w hi beam. i never run the hi beam though the 35w low is super bright.

good luck with your build

this is great advice i'm going to give you. forget the plastic headlamp harley uses. the lens and the reflector are both plastic. i contacted susquehanna motorsports to get a hella E-code headlight. it's all glass, and they claim it puts out 400% more light. it does not put out 4 times the light, but what it does is focus it properly. the majority is down your lane, none towards the oncoming traffic, none to light overhead signs, and a little bit to the right side of the road, for the critters. you can determine which h-4 bulb you want to use, and the whole thing is plug and play. for your streetglide the 7" is perfect. i prefer the sylvania bulbs which are osram bulbs in the rest of the world. these are for the european market. note: don't get the type made for great britain or australia. those guys ride on the wrong side of the road so it would illuminate the wrong place. this company, susquehanna motorsports is in fleetwood pennsylvania and here's the best part. the headlamp is just over 50 bucks. all glass, has an excellent reflector and lens. whatever hi tech type of bulb you want to use is fine as long as it's an h-4 halogen. i've used the hella E-code headlights for everything i can. my 08 streetglide has one and i recently sold it to buy a 2013 roadglide. now i'm stuck with harley's goofy plastic headlights again. no replacement available without major surgery on the headlight housings on the roadglide. i did install two of the 5-3/4" E-code headlamps in my Rocket III Triumph, and like the experience i've had with every vehicle in which i've installed the hella E-code headlamps, the difference is truly night and day. check out their website. Susquehanna motorsports, in fleetwood, pa.

That's one awesome headlight. You can buy directly from Discount Fleet Supply, The trucklite phase 7 Is somewhere around 229.00. You can use a discount code hdled5, should still be active. Total was 218.00
Good Luck....JR

Default additional info on the E-code headlights

an old man once told me, "it's not what you got, it's what you do with what you do have" in the case of the headlight, hella E-code, i mentioned.........you don't have to spend 50 bucks for a high tech bulb. any of the better quality ones will wake up the night like you can't believe. it's all in the quality of the reflector and how it's focused. it does make a huge difference. all of my friends are sold when they see how well my bikes light up the road. no, i'm not affiliated any way with hella or susquehanna. it's just that i've discovered something of great quality that's not gonna break the bank, and "IT WORKS". if you try it, you'll be sold on them too.
