I have to agree with the thought that it isn't the gloves causing the problem given that you have tried so many different types. Is there something else different about what you do in cold weather? Do gloves bother you in cold weather when you aren't riding?

This time of year, it's Gerbings all the way. If it's below 50 degrees, turn on the heat!

Check out Icon, I stumbled upon them at a local bike shop, popular with the crotch rocket crowd, I bought a pair and couldn't be happier.

Yup. I find myself doing the same thing and I have to consciously loosen my grip when wearing gloves.

I rarely ride with gloves (S Florida) but I did yesterday because it was cold in the AM. My right hand went numb pretty quickly, so I pulled them away from the top of my fingers just a little and the problem went away.

As mentioned above, pre-curved gloves are a must.

The way a non pre-curved glove is made leaves too much leather in the palms and bottom of the fingers and not enough on the top of the fingers. This will almost always result in sore hands.

FWIW, not all "motorcycle" gloves are pre-curved so make every effort to try them on before you buy.

When I ride in the summer, so problems, I don't normally wear gloves in the summer(unless fingerless mesh). Any suggestions as to what is causing my pain. I rode 3 hrs today and when I got home, my hands hurt to the point that I was miserable. Have tried tight fitting and loose..so not sure what the problem is..

Olympia motorcycle gloves, non better. Fit 'em right and your hands won't get cold or cramped. Mine are 7 yrs old and look as good as the day I bought em.

Cruise control throttles twist harder than non cruise. Try controlling your speed with the cruise. I recently got a 2012 with cruise and find its easy to change speed with the cruise unless I'm in an area where you have to do a lot of speed changes. I bet its when you are running a more steady speed that cramps your hand.

Thanks for all the info, I use leather motorcycle gloves(no gel or padding-tried a couple pair on didn't like the feeling). I get xl so they fit loose. I will pay attention next ride to see if I am squeezing the throttle harder. I do use the cruise on the interstate, but not around town or on 2 lane roads, to many nuts around here.
