I WILL INSPECT HDs Stuff BEFORE I LEAVE THE STORE...................
There is a lot of logic in this statement. But its not just HD thats guilty of selling less than sterling stuff. I work in auto parts and quality seems to be sliding downhill everyday, heck I even look stuff over in the grocery store before I buy it. The old saying of "let the buyer beware" is becoming more and more important daily.
Cheaply made foreign junk equals big profits .there i said it,Hd prolly pays less than $20.00 for that piecea junk...Burn me once.......you know the rest.

Chrome peeled off in a month
It's good that you alerted Forum Members about a piece of junk that H-D is selling for a premium price-------BUT, that ain't enough. I would take that POS back to where I bought it and demand my money back. I know that you said you bought it away from home and had no receipt, but you (and everybody else who bought this crap) needs to get the message loud and clear to the MOCO that this sh** is unacceptable. If we don't gripe, H-D will continue business as usual.
I think most all so called Harley parts are made in China now.Wish I had bought a Goldwing.Harley is slowly heading back to the AMF days when they were totally junk!! Mine is 2010 and have replaced rear axle.all wheel bearings, oil sending unit,2 rear brake switches, ignition switches and paint is coming off inner fairing ,my rockers are rattling like crazy and ny lifters need replacing,...all this in a few months out of warranty. All the clothing is made in China or Honduras.Every accessory II have bought from Harley dealer is made in cHINA. Purtry sick for an American made motorcycle!!
Wonderful attitude you have, HD says it's good, so in your mind it's good. Glad you bought into all the marketing hype and are comfortable with anything MOCO. By your logic, crap should be gladly accepted as gold and NEVER question HD authority.
