I run between 2500 and 3000, maybe 3500 once in a while. I just did a Stage 1 with the Power Duals, Ness Big Sucker A/C, SEST and RCX-Haust slip ons. Haven't been any distance yet, so can't tell you the mileage. There's more power now and I know I'm gettin' on the throttle harder than before the mod., so I expect my mileage to decrease - but dang, I like that POWER!!

I get 45mpg pretty consistently. 2011 RKC Powercommander PC-V, Jackpot pro-touring mufflers, fuelmoto air cleaner, cat delete. It pretty much ran like crap when stock. The upgrades helped drive-ability tremendously.

[QUOTE=stupid_rope;10530694]hammer that puppy. too many people never see the fun side of 4,000.

I agree, I stretch mine where I can, could tell you about fuel mileage, just ride until it needs gas. Like the 103 though. Congrats on your bike.

Stock 103 on my EG. 91 octane all the time. Getting 38 mpg right now but 35 degrees coming to work and only 11 miles so I expect that. Usually get 45-48 when the bike has time to warm up.

The 103's like a higher RPM than do the 88's. The sweet spot of the power band is 2500-3000. I keep my RPM's generally in that range, but on flat terrain in 6th can cruise aroud 2200. I consistently get 35 city/42 Hwy. The powertrain on my '12 RGU is stock aside from slip ons.

I had a built 103 in the RG. Numbers were 108h/121t and I was getting about 43 on the open road. It seemed happy cruising at just under 3K but could do well over the 1 ton in a heart beat.

I run my 2012 SG from 2500 to 3200. These are not made to be lugged, they need the higher rpm's. I put slip-ons on and nothign to the motor and get 42-43 almost every fill up whether in town or cruising down the highway at 60 or on the interstate. I love the motor

My motor has seen a few upgrades and I ride it aggressively..96 converted to 103 w/SE parts, with heads modified, polished and ported, and CC'd, larger valves, and springs, 0.30 head gasket. Smith bros pushrods, Woods 7H cams and lifters, D&D Boss Cat pipe, Doughtery intake, PCV w/Autotune, 31 tooth tranny sprocket, Clutch lock-up by Aim, with barnett spring and plates..average 42 on the highway and 36 on short runs..very happy with the power and the efficiency..Im at 106hp and 112 tq...Scooter

I have a 2011 SG with Stage 1 download, V&H oval slip on's and High flow air. I run 91 octane and down shift around 2200 but no less than 2000, I like to run about 3200 rpm but up to 3500 on occasion i have hit 4k. I get 48 MPG and usually ride at 75-85 mph.
I did not see this type of MPG until after my 2k service, it hung around 35-38 until then.
Congrats on the new bike.
