Stage 1 with 91 octane all the time, only time I have ever check MPG was a trip from Reno to SF Bay Area and back over two weeks ( so I did, highway, city, and mountain passes) and at the end of the trip the average was 44. I usually get 220ish miles before I see a low fuel light. BTW I have a 2011 FLHTK with a 6 gallon tank and I take gears around 4000-5000 RPM depending on mood and traffic.

My personal opinon; runyour HD hard, meaning RPM SRTONG and it will treat you fine. dont over kill it but keep it up and you'll do fine. It is not water cooled so it can not hanle the low RPM.

Oh, I forgot to mention. When you crank up a big compression motor you need to watch you dip stick on the 2006 models. They are press in caps and can be blown out by the crank case pressure.
I had this for a dip cap and it blew out somewhere along the highway where I was running it hard off a traffic light, way out in the boonies.
