Sorry, I know this has been brought up in the past, but now that winter is about to us I am ready to really find the fairing I want. I have a 2010 Road King with standard handlebars. I want a fairing that has speakers and a glove box for my ipod/phone. I am not looking for one with a stereo system in it. Has anyone got ideas on good ones???
Check out woodys fairings the have speakers and a waterproof door for a sstereo maybe he has a box to install instead of a radio. I have one of his fairings and am really pleased but I have a stereo in mine
Not sure who has this sort of set up. I'm pretty sure the only one with an integrated glove box is the Sport Tech (Kuryakin) model. That said, if your reasoning behind going without the stereo is to save money, understand that you will still need an amp to push the iPods low level output through the speakers and a volume ****. So, your savings, if any, are minimal.
Also, Sony makes a tune tray model that we've been using as an upgrade to our standard deck. Instead of a CD player, it has a tray that houses your iPod INSIDE the stereo and controls it using the decks controls. It will also charge your iPod while docked. Our customers have been really pleased with it.
